Overview of AMP

Dear Glenbard West Music Parents,

Welcome to the Association of Music Parents (AMP)!

AMP consists of volunteer parents of Glenbard West music students working with the directors to enrich the music program beyond the level possible under the school budget, including:
  • Scholarships for private lessons;
  • Uniforms, awards, equipment; and
  • Fundraising activities to offset various expenses.
AMP needs your help! If you have donated in the past – financially or by volunteering – THANK YOU!! We start each year with a fresh, new budget, so please consider contributing this year to enrich your student’s music experience:

     1. Make an Annual Contribution – Give whatever amount you can. There are over 400 students currently enrolled in the music program, if each family donates even a small amount, that would add up to a healthy budget to be used to enrich your student’s music experience at Glenbard West. You will be recognized for your donation in each of the programs throughout the year. Donate by September 20th to be included in the program for the first concert! DONATION LINK
     2. Take out a Program Ad - Advertise your company, event, business, home crafts, services or a family ad to display your support of your student. The program book will be distributed at all 8 music department curricular concerts throughout the concert season. PROGRAM AD LINK
     3. Engage in fundraising activities – Offset various student expenses with fundraising activities such as the Scrip program, Holiday Greens sale, Barone's pizza coupons, Poinsettia sale and many more. FUNDRAISING INFO LINK

Know what’s going on: Visit the AMP WEBSITE for up-to-date info and news including links to the Glenbard West Music Calendar, Fundraiser options for your student, even a photo gallery of recent and past music events. You will find the current AMP budget and proposed revisions to the AMP By-Laws, both of which will be voted on for approval on August 27th at the Curtain Raiser Concert.

Amp 2018-19 Meeting Schedule
Meetings are at 7 pm on Wednesdays, in the Choir room unless noted. Meetings are typically attended by 6-20 music student parents and all three music directors.
